Dina Summer
Agent: Heinz Spielvogel
Set Type: Live
Dina Summer is the collaborative project of Greek-German dark-disco couple Local Suicide and Bavarian producer Kalipo, from the infamous electro-punk band Frittenbude. The supergroup began working on music together in 2019 and have since been refining their combined sound. It is a unique blend of their influences, drawing from 80s italo disco, new wave, EBM and early 00s electroclash for a dark retro-futuristic synth/wave pop sound that stands out with club-ready basslines, epic melodic hooks, and lyrics ranging from dadaist abstractions to empowering, thought-provoking themes.
With their sophomore album Girls Gang released earlier this year, the trio expands their sonic palette to embrace elements of new wave, post-punk, and synth-pop. Their earlier work includes the critically acclaimed 2022 debut album Rimini, rooted in retro disco nostalgia, as well as the EPs Who Am I (2021) and Hide & Seek (2024).
Along the way, they’ve contributed to Curses’ Next Wave Acid Punx compilation and taken part in Purple Mag x Radiooooo’s 2070 project, and Reeperbahn Festival’s Collide Sessions. With millions of streams and worldwide radio airplay, Dina Summer's music has earned spots on numerous Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists and has been supported by DJs like Charlotte De Witte, The Hacker, Âme, Dixon, Joris Voorn, DJ Hell, Joyce Muniz, and Dubfire. Their releases have been praised by major publications such as RA, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Groove, Spiegel Online, Rolling Stone, Musikexpress, Tsugi, ELLE, Penthouse and FAZE, which hailed them as one of Germany’s most promising upcoming electronic acts. Since their formation, Dina Summer have been selling out concert halls & headlining festivals across Europe with their critically acclaimed live show.
